Public School Leaders Gather in Chicago for Education Conference

School officials from districts across Illinois will gather at the upcoming Joint Annual Conference of the Illinois Association of School Boards, Illinois Association of School Administrators, and Illinois Association of School Business Officials taking place November 22-24, 2024.

Three days of board and leadership training by and for state and national education leaders includes over 100 Panel Sessions covering topics including Crisis Management; Current Events; Educational Equity; Finance and Funding; Governance, Leadership, and Accountability; Governmental Relations; Rural District Issues; School Law; Social Emotional Learning; and Student Learning & Achievement. and more.

The Conference provides local school boards an opportunity to vote on important public policy positions for the state school board association. The resolutions adopted by the Delegate Assembly help form a position on state and federal legislative proposals that impact public education. On Saturday, November 23, the IASB Delegate Assembly will consider resolutions submitted by member districts.

This is the 91st year that the three school management groups will hold a joint conference. It is one of the largest state education conferences in the nation, averaging over 8,000 attendees and guests annually.
