After a tumultuous Veto Session, Governor JB Pritzker quickly signed SB 1169 (Harmon, D-Oak Park) into law. The new act (PA 102-0667) limits the scope of the Healthcare Right of Conscience Act and does not allow school employees to opt-out of COVID-19 testing. The new law will go into effect June 1, 2022.
