Call to Action: Oppose HB1358 (restricts district use of waivers)
HB1358 House Amendment 1 severely limits districts’ ability to request and renew physical education (PE) waivers, restricting districts to a single, non-renewable three-year waiver. Other waivers would be limited to five years with only two renewal periods, reducing flexibility in scheduling and programming for students.
