Illinois General Assembly Adjourns Spring Session
In the early morning hours of May 27, the Illinois House of Representatives adjourned after passing the Fiscal Year 2024 budget and put the final touches on the 2023 spring session. The Illinois General Assembly is not scheduled to be back at the Capitol until the two-week fall veto session during the weeks of October 24 and November 7. To read more about the FY 24 budget, see IASB Legislative Report 103-20.While the budget-making process receives the most attention at the end of session, several important bills passed in the final days of legislative action.
