2025 COSSBA Conference Registration Opens
Registration is open for the 2025 National Conference of the Consortium of State School Boards Association (COSSBA). “Education for All – Bridging Gaps, Breaking Barriers” will take place March 20-23, 2025, at the Hilton Atlanta in Atlanta, Georgia. The event presents an opportunity for school board members to come together, exchange ideas, and learn from one another to work toward the common goal of providing a high-quality education for all students.
A Pre-Conference Day is presented by the Unified Boards Alliance on March 20 and will dive deep into the conference theme. The main conference begins March 21. Attendees will have the opportunity to explore the latest trends and best practices in conference tracks on topics such as finance, governance, school safety, mental health, stakeholder engagement, student achievement, and artificial intelligence's transformative potential
COSSBA is accepting proposals for speakers for both the conference and the pre-conference event.
Early registration runs through December 20, 2024. More information is on the COSSBA Conference web page.
2024 Federal Advocacy Conference
COSSBA’s 2024 Federal Advocacy Conference is coming up September 8-10, in Washington D.C., offering school board members the opportunity to share their voices at the national level. The Illinois delegation will meet with federal education policymakers and Illinois Congressional officials. The event includes a Monday evening reception and a full Tuesday of panel sessions and training in preparation for Lobby Day on Wednesday, September 10.

The next event in the UBA Webinar Series, “Meeting the Academic Needs of Your Homeless Students,” is scheduled for October 16 at 11 a.m. CST.
