IASB Honors Boards of Education with 2024 School Board Governance Recognition

The Illinois Association of School Boards congratulates the 46 public school districts who are the 2024 recipients of School Board Governance Recognition.

The program acknowledges school boards that learn and practice effective governance behaviors as identified in IASB's Foundational Principles of Effective Governance, through participation in and support for board development programs and events. The focus is on full board development and participation.

School Board Governance Recognition is a two-year award. In 2023, 45 boards of education were presenting the honor, which they hold until Summer 2025, when they may apply again.

The following 46 school boards will have School Board Governance Recognition through Summer 2026, will be recognized at Division Meetings and acknowledged at the Joint Annual Conference in November.
