Mark your calendars now to attend the Fall Division Meetings presented by the Illinois Association of School Boards. The 2024 Fall Division Meetings will run September 12 through October 30 at sites throughout the state.
The current schedule and information are available on the IASB website. Registration is underway now.
Most Division Meetings this season will be Legislative Events, at which board members and leadership teams are invited to join the state legislators of their divisions for a night of discussion and questions on issues impacting Illinois public education. Attendees will gain insight on bills passed during the Spring Legislative Session and proposals that may be addressed during the November Veto Session. These Division Meeting Legislative Events are the combined efforts of the IASB Outreach, Training & Events and Governmental Relations teams.
Division Meetings are tailored to the professional development needs of the districts in the region and provide opportunities for members to foster relationships and learn about Association resources to support them. Board members are encouraged to attend the meeting in their home division and can also attend meetings outside their division if a different date, site, or topic is better suited to their calendar, location, or interests.
