Call for Proposals for 2025 Conference
The Consortium of State School Boards Associations has opened its Call for Proposals for the 2025 COSSBA National Conference, taking place March 21-23, 2025, in Atlanta, Georgia.

With a theme of “Education for All: Bridging Gaps, Breaking Barriers,” the conference is offering the opportunity to present “innovative ideas and successful strategies for making education accessible to all students” and “contribute to the development of policies that address and eliminate barriers in public education.” Preliminary information on the 2025 COSSBA National Conference is available at the COSSBA website, as are details on the Call for Proposals. The proposal submission deadline is September 30, 2024.

Founded by state school boards associations in late 2021, the Consortium of State School Boards Associations (COSSBA) is a non-partisan, national alliance dedicated to sharing resources and information to support, promote and strengthen state school boards associations as they serve their local school districts and board members.

UBA Webinar Series
COSSBA is also announcing the next event in the UBA Webinar Series. “Social Economics and Its Impact on Students Academically” will guide decision-makers on the relationship between socioeconomic status and student achievement. The event is scheduled for August 21, 2024, at 11 a.m. CDT. Amanda Tedford, principal at iAcademy in Alabama, will speak. Telford’s school excels academically in ELA and Math with a student population with over 60% identified as low socioeconomic.

The webinar series is presented by COSSBA’s Unified Boards Alliance (formerly the Urban Boards Alliance), which provides a national platform for training, resources, and networking to address and improve the educational outcomes of students facing challenging environments.
