Friday Focus Workshops Offer Additional Learning at Conference

Friday Focus Workshops will again take place on the first day of the Joint Annual Conference in Chicago.
Scheduled for November 22 at the Sheraton Grand Chicago, Friday Focus Workshops offer full- and half-day sessions designed to provide knowledge, skills, and insights for school board members. Attendees can choose from topics including student voice, superintendent evaluation, equity, leadership, school finance, safety and security, and more.
Participants can mix and match two half-day sessions (morning/afternoon) or choose one full-day workshop. Full-day workshops will take place from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. and include continental breakfast and lunch. Half-day morning workshops begin at 8 a.m. with a continental breakfast and conclude at 11:30 a.m. Half-day afternoon workshops start with lunch at 11:30 a.m. and finish at 3 p.m. Some workshops are offered twice, as morning and afternoon sessions.
Attendees of Friday Focus Workshops must be registered for the Joint Annual Conference. Registration for the Workshops and Conference opens on June 3.
