Joint Annual Conference Information: Badges and App

With only weeks to go until the start of the 2024 Joint Annual Conference, attendees are beginning to plan for their professional development weekend in Chicago, November 22-24. IASB has made available some helpful information for those registered to ensure a successful Conference experience.  
 

Badges for Conference attendees were mailed to district offices on October 31. The offices will receive an orange envelope marked “CONFERENCE BADGES ENCLOSED” that includes badges for registered Conference attendees, guests of the district, and ribbons with position designations. Attendees and guests who have their badges can avoid the lines and do not need to check in at the Conference Registration Desk.
 

Those that need to request badge changes or substitutions should email Natalie Duke before November 15. Changes or substitutions after this date will need to be made onsite at the Conference Registration Desk (for substitutions onsite, individuals must present the original badge of the non-attending registrant).  
 

The 2024 Joint Annual Conference App is available from Whova. Conference registrants can download the Whova Event App from the Apple App Store or the Google Play Store. Attendees will need to sign in to the app using the email address used to register for this year’s Conference. 
 

The app includes a searchable schedule with presenters, panel descriptions, session times, and room locations, as well as an option to filter presentations by topical track. App users can create their own personal schedule (this does not reserve you a seat at sessions), access documents and slides shared by presenters, find a list of Conference exhibitors, and locate helpful information about parking, transportation, and hotel guest services. A community feature is also available that allows users to enhance networking opportunities and share helpful information with fellow attendees.
