Unofficial results from county election websites show a mixed response to referenda questions on the November 5, 2024 General Election ballot.
Voters rejected three tax increases placed on the ballot by Bloomingdale SD 13, Glenview CCSD 34, and Thomasboro CCSD 130.
Totals show voters approved 13 of 20 building bond requests, with two remaining too close to call. Bonds were approved for:

Voters rejected bond requests in Arthur CUSD 305, Central CUSD 301 (Burlington), Mahomet-Seymour CUSD 3, Prairie Central CUSD 8 (Fairbury), and Putnam County CUSD 535. One week after the election, the Westmont CUSD 201 and West Prairie CUSD 103 (Colchester) requests remain too close to call.
Countywide Sales Tax propositions for a countywide 1% tax increase for school facilities, school resource officers, and mental health professionals in DeKalb and Effingham counties were rejected by voters. Final vote totals are not yet available for Hancock County.
Voters in 10 of the 11 school districts seeking to change how school board members are elected from congressional townships to being elected at-large approved the measure. The question was approved in:

Sycamore CUSD 427 remains too close to call as of November 12.
Nine villages in southern Cook County (Burnham, Crestwood, Calumet Park, Posen, Riverdale, Robbins, South Chicago Heights, South Holland, and Tinley Park) overwhelmingly approved an advisory referendum asking “Shall the [Village of ___] pass a Resolution urging the State of Illinois to pass Legislation that requires the State of Illinois to increase State funding for Public Schools that results in lower property tax bills and reduces the tax burden on local Property owners and taxpayers, specifically those in South Suburban Cook County?”
Voters in Summit Hill SD 161 also voiced their opinion on the question, “Do you approve of the process by which the Board of Education for Summit Hill School District 161 closed Arbury Hills and Frankfort Square schools without a corresponding reduction in the property tax levy rate?” Voters voted no on this question.
