Reminder: School Board Elections Filing Period is November 12-18

The filing period for school board candidates for the April 1, 2025 election is November 12 to November 18, 2024. This is earlier than in previous election cycles due to a change in election law (Public Act 103-600).

IASB has compiled a list of Key Dates for School Board Candidates who are running in the 2025 Consolidated Election. This and other information for School Board Candidates is available on the IASB website.

IASB is offering a series of webinars for candidates. Each How to Navigate Running for School Board webinar will be livestreamed and also recorded for on-demand viewing. Previous topics include Petition Circulation and the Statement of Economic Interests. On November 14 at noon the topic is petition filing. On December 5, also at noon, is “Understanding the Board Member’s Role.”
