IASB Announces Tasha Levy Memorial Scholarship for Administrative Professionals

The Illinois Association of School Boards announces the Tasha Levy Memorial Administrative Professionals Scholarship, created to honor the life and legacy of Tasha Levy, whose kindness, dedication, and warmth had a profound impact on her colleagues and the members she served at IASB.

Tasha’s journey from Administrative Assistant to Assistant Director in Training Development was a testament to her unwavering commitment to personal and professional growth. She was known for her ability to make everyone around her feel valued, seen, and heard, always balancing professionalism with heartfelt care.

The Tasha Levy Administrative Professionals Scholarship aims to support individuals who embody Tasha’s spirit of selflessness, community, and continuous learning. Applicants are encouraged to reflect on the values Tasha held dear — kindness, growth, and making a meaningful difference in the lives of others, and how they plan to carry those values forward in their work and communities.

The scholarship to the 2025 Joint Annual Conference will cover:

• The $540 Conference registration fee.
• A daily meal allotment of $75 per day.
• Expense reimbursement of $99.99 per recipient.

The scholarship will allow the recipient to reserve a room at one of the Conference hotel blocks, based on availability, but the district will be responsible for the cost of housing, the housing deposit, and daily room charges, taxes and/or parking fees, subject to state law.

The application process for the Tasha Levy Administrative Professionals Scholarship is now open. The application deadline is April 30, 2025.
