New for 2025, IASB is offering Super Saturday, a one-day event for new school board members. On Saturday, September 13, join us to connect with other new board members, learn from experts to better understand your governance role, and get your questions answered.
On the agenda will be “Seven Things I Wish I’d Known My First Year,” a Legal Roundtable featuring scenarios and the Open Meetings Act, advocacy, and more.
Super Saturday will take place from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at three sites:
• Hotel Arista, Naperville
• Holiday Inn Grand Prairie, Peoria
• Doubletree Hotel, Collinsville
Registration opens April 15, the fee is $199 (includes breakfast & lunch). Further information on Super Saturday and all new board member resources can be accessed via the IASB New Board Member page.
